Justine, is a little bit more than you'd expect. This is where you are supposed to put your "elevator speech". What you'd say if you were in the elevator with somebody you wanted to connect with. I don't have an "elevator speech". If I ran smack-dab into one of my "heroes" I'd just have to smile and be polite and keep my yipper shut and that's probably for the best anyway!

Clown Night
Hello freaky darlings...just a word or two before I embark on this evenings forray into the world or restaurant clowns.

It is mama's 80th birthday. Since she has elected not to request a specific restaurant....I am taking her to a restaurant with a balloon animal making clown.

I like the clown and it's her final appearance tonight.

Sunday afternoon has been reserved for a snazzy birthday luncheon.

Problematically the psych nurse who is supposed to be checking in on mom, finally got her ass into the room with her 1 month past time. She picked today to drop in and now mom is not in a good mood.

I fear the worst. I fear an evening of schreeching, accusations, demands, and general bloodshed.

I'm too tired to bleed darlings.

I feel like I could walk into a James Blunt video. Perhaps "Beautiful", I could leap into the sea beside James at the end of the song.

No successful way of taking up company with S. so all is a bit on the mellow and maudlin side.

Saturday is another book binding class, I will be accorded the privilege of wandering past S.'s stall. Perhaps he will be in residence, beaming and looking alternately cruel and cowering.

How can this poor darling fleur ever live up to my ruminations of him?

Ah, perhaps we shall see. Perhaps I will at least get close enough to get a bead on his age. From my current distance he could be anywhere between 28 and 40.

Well the time bell has gone. One of my coworkers is going with us to dinner. He is often mistaken for my husband. We have been acquainted nearly 20 years now, and we are comfortable together, like a burnt out married couple. He is a true wingman. He will run interfereance should the momster attack.

Ah, wish me luck freaky darlings.

Solem Sunday

Far far away

Paying bills tonight. Not even my bills at that.

The world seems a little too heavy tonight.

Spent some "crafty" time stripping and recovering the keyboard rest for the office. The old one was coated with 20 year old foam matting that was disintegrating in slime. I couldn't take it anymore so I brought it home and upgraded it.

Spent some time creating some practical art by working on T pins for use at work in the "blank wall" that I stare at all day.

Created some more clay "fragments" so my stash is re-supplied. I have plenty of little tidbits to add to the collages now.

My next bit of fiddling will be with 3D shadow box collages to drop into the frames at work. If I can't have a window, I can at least have a view.

I will also work on some more change out cards for the little "shrine" I have hanging up.

Anyway, enjoy the little bit of smouldering flavor on the entry today.

Hey cuz, drop me a line. Don't be a lurker. ;)

Luv ya freaky darlin's!

A little more harmless fun?

You're beautfiul yes you are.

Your'e Beautiful
By James Blunt (modified a touch, my apologies James)

My life is brilliant.
My love is pure.
I saw an angel.
Of that I'm sure.
He smiled at me on the subway.
He was with another girl.
But I won't lose no sleep on that,
'Cause I've got a plan.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
I saw you face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause I want to be with you.

Yeah, he caught my eye,
As we walked on by.
He could see from my face that I was,
Fucking high,
And I don't know if I'll see him again,
But we shared a moment that will last till the end.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
I saw you face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause I want to be with you.
You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
There must be an angel with a smile on his face,
When he thought up that I should be with you.
But it's time to face the truth,
I want to be with you.

For S the newest smile on my face.

A name to go with the face....
Well my little punkins...I have a first name for Mr. VanDyke. I even heard his voice today.

This has been the utmost fun. I have giggled and cackled myself into a cheery mood.

I have an opportunity to go to a social event where Mr. VanDyke will be in attendance. Shall I go? Shall I attempt to become a social animal? Shall I sidle up to Mr. Van Dyke and speak with him in person?

Well freaky darlings? Is it time for your girl to get back in the saddle?

Ain't me sweet?

I almost met the the cutest guy.....
Well, it's spring....and you know that means that a young man's fancy turns to...whatever the hell it is they think about. Maybe they think about, baseball season, washing their overpriced pickup truck, pulling their own handle. Eh.

Anyway, my little springtime horizon includes a gentleman I will refer to as "Mr. VanDyke". He's a new little lovely in my life. Adorned with dark chestnut hair and a Van Dyke beard and mustache, he is a charmer.

Now I will qualify the "almost met" in the title of this missive. I have almost met Mr. Van Dyke about 8 times in the last two months. Our last encounter included me coming around a corner and almost smacking face-on into my little lamp chop whilst he was taking a stroll.

Each time I have gone to the new location of my favortie art supply shack, I have seen or almost walked into this guy. He works somewhere in the vicinity and for some reason he goes into my art supply home. When I go in to take classes,he is there speaking with the owner. When I go to the ladies room in the mall, I exit and he's roaming the halls and I turn the corner and run into him. When I go into the store to shop, I turn away from a stamp rack and "SMACK" he's standing a foot behind me. I go down the pub to grab a sandwhich during a class break, and on the way back he's walking a foot in front of me.

So I have seen this little giggle monster repeatedly...but neither of us has broken the speech barrier.

Oh my little freakies, do you suppose it's time to come down off the shelf? It's an idea.

Do you suppose I should find a new way to light my fire? :)

Smoke my dear?

A treatie for my sweeties!
Hello my freak darlings!

Your little one has been off playing with her art supplies this week.

As a little treatie...I've scanned a partially completed altered book and put it online just for you!

This link takes you to the cover page. You can click forward or backward through the book. To get a closer look at each page, click on the picture of the page! A full sized image will open in a new window for you. If the second image looks the same size as the first, your browser may be auto-adjusting to keep it in the window. So move your mouse over the lower right hand corner of the screen and a little icon that looks like a picture frame with arrows on it will appear. Click on the icon and get the full sized image. Then you can scroll around and check things out.

WARNING! Oh my freaky ones...these are large images. I'm an artiste! Not a professional web designer...so apologies in advance for any navigational challenges you may encounter!

Luv ya darlings!

Take the Journey!

Buy the ticket, take the ride!

My Bloody Valentine........
Tonight, my reminisences twinkle across my former vampire lover. You know who you are.... perhaps you are reading? Perhaps you are not. It doesn't matter...you are gone to dust...in my world

Slurp!

A song came on the radio, that reminded me of you...exactly.

Halo
- Martin L. Gore of Depeche Mode

You wear guilt
Like shackles on your feet
Like a halo in reverse
I can feel
The discomfort in your seat
And in your head it's worse

There's a pain
A famine in your heart
An aching to be free
Can't you see
All love's luxuries
Are here for you and me

And when our worlds
They fall apart
When the walls come tumbling in
Though we may deserve it
It will be worth it

Bring your chains
Your lips of tragedy
And fall into my arms

And when our worlds
They fall apart
When the walls come tumbling in
Though we may deserve it
It will be worth it

Come take a look.......

Damn Bats!

Come take a look my freaky darlings!

I've put a page spread from my sketchbook up as a web page.

Instead of resizing the images and chopping them down to fit into this column....I've given them their own page. I didn't chop the images into splits so the artwork page may take a while to load. Just click the link below.

Your gonna have to face it, I'm addicted to stamps...

Stamp out anxiety!

Hello my little freakies. I received another envelope of unmounted rubber stamps.....I've had a jolly time stamping away today and Sunday.

Above is tonight's creation...mostly stamps from Paper Artsy. I love the one with the bingo chips.

Below are the right and left sides of a two page stamp background I did over the weekend. It's all ready to have collage items pasted on top of it. That will include clay objects, photos, clippings, hand made paper, and wire thingies.

On the mom front......

The doggie has chewed a hole in her back leg. Made a vet appointment for her. Then phoned mom. She had the grandmammy of henny fits. She was threatening to jump out the window when she hung up on me. So I phoned the "pen" and had them go in and check on her. The care manager called me and said that mom was yanking my chain to try and get me to send her back to Florida.

Oh, Heaven, the ugly little things mom says when she's got her claws in the out and locked position. Since she was just exactly this way when I was a kid...it's a wonder I'm not in a locked room somewhere barking at the moon.

I've done very well getting my act together, even if I do say so myself.

So while little Miss Pissy Pants wants to rail and scream, she will not be going on field trips to Arby's and she can sit her ass in her room and stew.

Below are the "backgrounds". Goodnight Freakies. Cuddles and kisses. Your good thoughts and prayers are helping.

Play Day
My oh my! It's eleven p.m. already!

Just a quick missive my freaky darlings.

Today was truly a play day. I finished an unfinished crafty class project. Finished up another and put it on display. Put mounting cushion on my new stash of unmounted stamps. Updated the unmounted stamp storage. Put new stamps in their trays and stashed them away.

Played with new stamps. Played with the new ink cartridge for the rolla-graph. Cool new wheels have been sitting in the drawer because I didn't have the ink cartridge to play with them. Luckily last week I found a cartridge that is the same maker and color of one of my favorite flat stamp pad inks.

So all matches and is hunky dory!

Hmm....sounds like I didn't play much....sounds like I worked with crafty stuff.

Bummer.

Mom phoned and I had to make a quick run for puppy pads. The poor dog looks worse for wear. I'm going to have to give her a bath each week and go over an scrub out her crate. Mom just keeps saying she wants to leave and go back to Florida. This is soooo not going well.

I have a tape of my bud saying "Do not feel quilty." playing in my head. But it doesn't help me not feel sorrow, heartbreak, and anguish.

My mind keeps searching for a new way, another way,, a happier way.

Did get to do some shaking around to Depeche Mode, played the concert on the DVD system while I was doing crafty things. The downstairs neighbors were out all day so I cranked it up.

Depeche mode with rubber stamps! Hmmm how odd.

Well even odder that I thought I was playing all day and it wound up being 11:10 at night when I realized the reason my play wasn't very satisfying was because it was really housekeeping work on the craft stuff. Duh! Oh well an afternoon putting mounting cushion on stamps is better than an afternoon at work.

After last night's post...it was a rough time. Let's just say that urfing up iron supplements at 2 a.m. is not good. But it was much better when it was over.

It looks like iron shots may be in my future. Spent most of the day trying to get my gizzard back in shape from the iron therapy.

Ever urfed up a railroad spike? A rusty one? I think that's what I did last night.

Freaky darlings...I DON'T reccomend it.

Nighty night loveies......tonight's pick is the closest to "play related" I had in the stash that I could still post on a non-password protected web site.

Cuddles!

Water sports?!
A girl out at night alone.....

Howdy Dave!

Well my freaky darlings I was awake this morning when Depeche Mode tickets went on sale. But your little darling didn't slap plastic and buy tix.

Ah, sigh. She didn't want to spend the bucks to stay at the Borgata in Atlantic City to see the gig there. Tix were 100 to 175 and that was waaaay too steep.

The other local venue was the Nissan Pavillion in bumf**k Virginia. Way too far for a little one to roam so late at night.

Who knows what kind of delerium I would be in after the shake and shudder of overblown synths at close range?

If I really enjoy the concert and do the little white girl dance, I will be in need of someone to watch over me until I recover from my swoon!

What is a girl to do?

Dearest Cuz, received your email missive. Odd you should mention Barry Manillow. He was on public tv tonight. I tuned in for part of one song. It was something from the Ocean City days. It made me so outright depressed, I changed the channel.

Sorry to hear the tax man is tapping your wallet. You are a better man than I. I've lived too long with uncertainty to tap out my retirement for the sake of the rest of the family. It would be "get you ass out and work or get your ass out".

But then my family is very different. I came up where I was abused mightily and having my own money and my own career were my ticket out of being a** f***ed.

So very different little prison to be escaping from.

Well cuz....I don't mean to offend. It's late and I'm tired...so pardon the prickle.

I had a page long list of to-dos today and did all but the one's that are fun! What is wrong with me!?! When you were online I was putting away laundry and cleaning out the fridge. There were some suspect looking science experiements in that fridge.

Well, it is very late at this point...so I'm off to slumber. Perchance to dream.

Perchance to dream of Depeche Mode.

Get busy......
"Get busy living ....."
Andy Desfresne (Shawshank Redemption)

Get out your rock hammers my freaky darlings.... take your quiet desperation and dig your own tunnel out of your own Shawshank.

I've done my 18 years in prison and I've got a big freakin' poster of Princess Turandot on the wall. I've crawled through the river of shit....time to come out clean on the other side.

"They say the Pacific Ocean has no memory."
Andy Desfresne (Shawshake Redemption)

I wonder about Venice. I'd still like to see Venice by night.

Smoke Um If Ya Gottem!

Ah.

Whew! Wild week my freaky darlings.

Blessing have abounded. God has guided me safely though an Oracle database recovery, a lost website, and an imaging system that is chewing the curtains.

I've ordered replacement medicare cards, picked prescription insurance, filed my federal tax return, and filed my state return.

I'm just the busiest little chick going.

Tonight I'm trying to get together 5 pages to audtion for a writing retreat. Don't know if it's my cup of tea, but I'm talking to the coach tomorrow. I'm planning on sending her 5 smacking yummy pages of fresh little bloggie.

Of course I'm leaving out the conversations about sex lube, penises, and carnivale debauchery. I mean, why tip my hand this early in the mayhem?

So little punkins, this is just a quick shout out. Off to watch a little "Mythbusters" and then to bed.

Cuddles Freakies!
